What a Photoshoot in Aruba Actually Costs

Six sessions sell through the booking platform, two studios sell flying-dress shoots directly. Here is the whole field in one place, priced as listed in August 2026.

Two prices that are not what they look like

The $360 couples session appears to be the most expensive booking on the platform and is not, because it is the only one not multiplied by the number of people in the photograph. Two people on the $137.81 session pay about $276; two on the $125 family session pay $250. The gap narrows to less than a hundred dollars.

The $139 glam kayak session appears to be mid-range and is, per finished image, the most expensive thing on the list. Its inclusions are explicit about it: more than 40 drone frames are supplied for selection only, and 2 professionally retouched photographs plus one vertical reel are what you keep. Additional edits are sold afterwards.

Divide price by finished photographs and the list rearranges itself completely. This is the calculation the listings never show you.

Why the cheapest per photo is an add-on

At roughly $1.50 an image, the photographer option on the parasail flight is the cheapest photography on the island by a wide margin, and the images arrive by 7pm on the day you fly. That is a genuinely good deal and a poor substitute for a portrait session: nobody directs you, the framing is whatever the boat allows, and you are a small figure under a parachute in most of the frames.

So the per-photo number is a tool, not a verdict. It tells you where the volume is. It says nothing about whether the photographs are of the thing you wanted photographed.

When $70 a photo is the right call

The glam kayak session looks indefensible on this table and is not. You are buying a styled floral kayak, a drone pilot, a producer who directs you, a posing guide sent before the shoot, and a mirror on the sand to practise in front of. The output is one or two striking frames rather than a gallery.

If you know you photograph badly without direction, that is the session that fixes it, and two images you actually like beat forty you delete. Just go in knowing the model, and price the extra edits into your budget by asking the host what they cost when they message you.

Transport to the meeting point

Both studio beach sessions state that transport is not included and tell you to arrange a taxi or a rental car. Most of the shooting locations sit along the western coast between Oranjestad and the island's northern tip, which is a ten to twenty minute drive from the main hotel strips. Budget for a return taxi or plan the session around a car you already have.

The exceptions are worth knowing: both clear kayak sessions list transport to the location as included, and the parasail base is on Palm Beach itself, next to Moomba Beach Bar.

Extra edits on selection-only packages

Two products on this island hand you a selection pool rather than a finished set: the glam kayak session, where extra edits are a paid add-on with no published price, and one flying-dress studio, which charges $7 for a basic edit and $10 for advanced retouching per image.

At $10 an image, wanting twenty finished photographs adds $200 to a session that started at $375. Ask for the edit price before you book, not after you have seen the gallery and fallen in love with fifteen frames.

Park entry, if you shoot inland

None of the bookable sessions goes there, but if you are shooting yourself at the Natural Pool, the caves or the wild beaches inside Arikok National Park, entry is ticketed and the park controls vehicle access on the tracks. Tips, and whether to leave one

None of the listings mentions tipping and none requires it. Aruba generally follows the American convention, and photographers who spent an hour making your family laugh are usually pleased with something in cash. Treat it as optional rather than as a hidden line item, and never as a substitute for reading what the session actually includes.

The reason holiday photoshoots have become normal is arithmetic rather than fashion.

A family session, two ways

A beach family session with a photographer in the United States commonly runs from a couple of hundred dollars to five hundred for a comparable set of edited images, before travel to a location that looks like anything. The Aruba family session is $125 per person for 35 edited images on white sand at golden hour, with the backdrop included by definition.

That is the whole argument. You are already standing in the location people pay to travel to, so the only thing left to buy is the photographer.

Where the saving stops

It stops at the flying-dress studios, which are a specialist product rather than a local-price one, and it stops at anything sold per person once your group grows. Four people on a per-person session is four tickets; the couples session caps at two but charges once.
